Events & Fundraisers

Dancing with the Ohio Valley Stars

Dancing with the Ohio Valley Stars" is an annual fundraising event organized by the Augusta Levy Learning Center. In this event, local celebrities from various professions, such as a firefighter, detective, and news anchor, partner with dance professionals to compete in a dance competition. The event features couples who will spend eight weeks preparing their routines before competing for a trophy at Wheeling’s Capitol Theatre.

The event is a significant community and fundraising effort, bringing together prominent local figures for a night of entertainment and competition.

Inclusion on Ice

"Inclusion on Ice" is an annual event aimed at breaking down barriers that prevent individuals with physical and mental disabilities from participating in ice skating. Hosted by the Augusta Levy Learning Center, Easterseals Rehabilitation Center, and the Wheeling Nailers, the event transforms the Wheeling Park Ice Rink into an accessible venue for all, including those who use wheelchairs, walkers, and sleds.

Color Me Au-Some Color Run

The "Color Me Au-Some 5K" is an annual fun run organized by the Augusta Levy Learning Center, aimed at supporting children with autism. The event is designed to be inclusive and non-competitive, encouraging participants to challenge themselves rather than compete against others. The registration fees and proceeds from the race directly support the one-on-one student programming at the Augusta Levy Learning Center, ensuring that all funds raised go towards enhancing the educational and therapeutic services provided to children with autism.

Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month is a dedicated period in April that aims to raise public awareness and promote acceptance of autism spectrum disorders.
